Recognized as one of the world’s most effective forms of self-defense, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teaches its students that brute strength is not necessarily required when protecting one´s self. Growing ever more popular, this form of martial art, founded by brothers Helio and Carlos Gracie, was born through a modification of methods derived from Judo and traditional Japanese Ju Jitsu. Focusing on grappling and ground fighting, Jiu Jitsu teaches that a smaller individual can protect himself through a series of technical maneuvers. Here we train our students on the traditional principals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and growth is awarded via the customary belt system.
Our Adult’s NoGi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu mimics our tradition program, however without use of the kimono, or Gi. This class, also known as Submissions Grappling, uses the same core techniques as Jiu Jitsu, using a series of holds as opposed to grips. Students will learn stand up technique to ground game and submissions in this program.
Like our adult program, kid’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructs our younger generation the fundamental values of the art. We aim to help our young students develop not only physically, but mentally through teaching the principles of respect, discipline, and perseverance. With the traditional Jiu Jitsu program, young learners age 5-15 grow through the belt system just as our adult students do. Not only will your child adopt an attitude for success, but they will have fun doing so!
This Thai martial art, also referred to as kickboxing in the western world, was developed as a full body system of close-combat. The “Art of Eight Limbs” uses eight points of contact to mimic weapons of war.
Our classes are not only geared to teach proper technique, but are a great way to put your cardio on blast!
